Meet your ABA service providers

Who’s who on the
ABA team:

If ABA is new and unfamiliar to you, here’s an intro to who’s part of the team that provides ABA Services.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst has supervised experience in ABA therapy in Virginia

Meet the BCBA:

Your Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) has a Master’s degree, passed an exam required by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) and has completed extensive coursework and supervised experience in ABA.

Your BCBA leads the team caring for your child through conducting assessments, creating customized care plans and supervising the RBT who works directly with your child during therapy sessions.

Meet the RBT:

Your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who works directly with your child in value-packed one-on-one ABA therapy sessions.

The therapy sessions are based on a thorough preplanned treatment plan and are guided through consistent supervision by the BCBA.

RBTs must complete a training program, pass an exam, and follow a code of ethics to ensure they provide consistently high-quality therapy.

Your child’s progress is our passion

VANESSA Roque

Director OF CLINICAL OPERATIONS

Vanessa is a BCBA who has been practicing in the field for 17 years in the US and abroad. She has worked in pediatric clinics, secure facilities with adults, group homes, schools with kids and teens, on reservations and more. She has been called on to speak on major news outlets as a child behavioral expert. She has presented at state conferences on the topic of building an ethical ABA agency. She also worked on performance management projects addressing employee behaviors in her time at FSU. She also participated in the Goldman Sachs small business program which taught her invaluable lessons on effectively growing a business. Vanessa is passionate about ABA and mentoring clinicians to provide ethical and effective services.

She opened her own practice in 2015, Limitless Learning ABA in Miami, Florida with one major goal: Training and mentorship to produce high quality clinicians. She was able to mentor, train and provide scholarships for several RBTs to become BCBAs.

She went through the many challenges that most BCBAs face when trying to own and operate an ethical ABA practice.
To address these, Vanessa applied the principals of ABA to running her organization. She streamlined processes, created training protocols, consulted with experts often, made, tested and re-made task analyses, clinical templates, manuals and so much more. A painstaking process that has taken nearly a decade. A project fueled by passion and a love of ABA and how it can be used to help in so many ways.

In 2025 Vanessa was able to successfully sell her clinical practice in order to move on to other projects and goals. She is now an LBA in Virginia.

She is very excited to have joined the team at Dream Bigger ABA as Director of Clinical Operations!

marissa

BCBA

started my journey in high school where I was able to fill my electives with a class called Peer Assisted Learning, or PAL for short. This was a program where general education students could be aids in special education classrooms. I loved the experience and I spent every moment I could before, during and after school with my assigned special education classroom. I found ABA shortly after high school, in 2013, and I immediately fell in love with the science. It felt like I found what I was meant to do for the rest of my life.

I became a case manager when I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2018. I was halfway between an RBT and a BCBA (in a state that allowed mid-level billing) and I had amazing mentors that taught me how to lead compassionately and helped me truly understand how being a leader in ABA touches even more lives than just being an RBT (though being an RBT is AMAZING and crucial!). In 2019, I moved to a state where mid-level billing was no longer allowed so I transitioned into a regional trainer while completing my master’s degree. I trained dozens of RBTs across dozens of states and followed them into the field until they were comfortable and able to be independent under their BCBAs. I also managed a few adult cases at this time.

I became a BCBA in 2021, with an abundance of experience across roles, states, and companies, and quickly became a Clinical Director the following year, in 2022. Being a Clinical Director has been one of my favorite experiences so far, having the opportunity to shape clients, RBTs, and BCBAs. I joined Dream Bigger in 2026, excited to start a new journey.

When I am not working, I am spending time with my husband playing video games, reading a book, watching anime, coloring or playing disc golf. You can always catch me with at least 3 or 4 animals near, as we have a family of 7!
